The whole point of Google Home devices is to give Google Assistant voice commands. Now you'll need a free HDMI input because the normal Chromecast only has an HDMI connection. But the benefit is that not only can you play music, you can tell your Google Home Assistant to play videos from any of your video libraries. It's really convenient and it can sound, frankly, just as good as anything else you play on your big home stereo. Alternatively, your app may show a cast button in the top area of the screen, so you can press that one instead of choosing the Google Home or Nest device from the list.
The first one is called Media EQ, which automatically tunes the speaker depending on what you’re listening to (music, podcasts, audiobooks, etc.). Simply put, the EQ will sound markedly different when you’re listening to your favorite album compared to when Google Assistant is voicing a reply. If you’re very budget conscious and don’t really care about sound quality that much, something like the Nest Mini will be more up your alley. It’s a great device that lets you use all of Assistant’s smarts, works great for playing podcasts and audiobooks, and is decent when it comes to playing music. Just don’t expect the bass to get your blood pumping, since the device is very small.

There is a ribbon cable held in by a crocodile clip, you will need to lift the pull tab on the crocodile clip first, and then carefully slide the ribbon cable out. Once the adhesive is warm and softened, you can use a flat tool to get under the silicone and slowly separate it from the device. Once removed, set it aside somewhere dust free so you can reapply it at the end with the original adhesive. Press the button you'll find at the bottom of the screen titled Enable Pairing Mode. When available, your speaker or display will automatically update to the latest software version. Make sure you're not running "Power Saving Mode" on your Android device. This can limit the processing power of your device which could affect the performance of the Cast Audio feature.
